MIRI: Many people are giving their support to re-nominate Member of Parliament for Sibuti Ahmad Lai Bujang in the coming 13th general election.

One of his supporters is longhouse chief, Tuai Rumah Baie Suka and his longhouse folk.

In pledging his support, Baie described Ahmad Lai as a ‘YB with people at his heart’.

“YB Ahmad Lai is a leader who always places the people’s interest at high priority. He is always there for us whenever we need his assistance and help,” he said when met during a dialogue session on Native Customary Right (NCR) at RH Baie, Sungai Mamut, Bekenu.

He added that his people would do their utmost to ensure a big win for BN in the upcoming election.

On the NCR issue, he said the people in his longhouse welcomed the new concept of land surveying and said the new concept would enhance their customary rights once their land has been surveyed.

“Thanks to the government for introducing the new initiative in order to ensure the NCR land can be awarded to rightful owners,” he remarked.
