4,097hectares of NCR land in Skrang area to be surveyed soon


ENGKILILI: The Lands and Survey Department, Sri Aman Division will begin the perimeter surveying of the NCR land in the Skrang area beginning February until March this year.

A total of 4,097 hectares of Native Customary Right (NCR) land covering lands in Tanjung Rambai, Sungai Tembong, Sungai Maloi, Sungai Lipat, Bukit Baling and Sungai Penyuan in Skrang would be surveyed beginning February next month.


A staff of the department, Mohamad Razali Arshad, revealed this while speaking at a dialogue session at Dewan Skim Skrang, here on Tuesday.


He said the first phase of the perimeter survey would start in Sungai Tembong and sungai Lipat in February covering an area of 1,878 hectares which was owned by about 1,300 residents. The work is expected to be completed in a month’s time.


The second phase to begin in March would be in Tanjung Rambai, Sungai Maloi, Bukit Baling and Sungai Penyuan with a total area of 2,219 hectares of land involving 2,000 residents and was expected to be fully completed in one month, Razali informed.


He urged the landowners who were involved in the perimeter surveying to give their full cooperation so that the work could be done smoothly while reminding them to be present when their lands were being surveyed.
