Planning Information System (PLIS) facilitate the Planning Branch in town and country planning activities such as processing private applications for development and re-development of land, monitoring of approved applications (Subdivision of Land and Application for Variation of Title Condition) for the purpose of development control.

Facilities are also provided for identification of sites for Government projects, monitoring development projects, urban design and regional planning. In fact, there are five (5) systems within PLIS as follows:

• Development Control Information System (DCIS)
• Siting & Land Use Planning Information System (SPIS)
• Development Projects Implementation System (DPIS)
• Urban Design System (UDS)
• Regional Planning Information System (RPIS)
