Let BN continue the good work
I agree with Stephen Sim and Lee Siew Ing that the opposition Pakatan Rakyat, especially PKR and DAP, are like barking dogs that are disturbing the peace, harmony among our people. If their brand of politics is not stopped, the prosperity in our country that the barisan Nasional (BN) government has built up over the past many years will be in jeopardy.
The Prime Minister datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak called the opposition a headless chicken because the Pakatan Rajyat did not have a leader in the Parliament. The fact is after many years of shouting and calling them a group, PKR, DAP and PAS had still not registered with the Registrar of Societies (ROS).
After running out of other issues to instigate the people, PKR and DAP have recently intensified their dirty campaigns the BN on Native Customary Rights (NCR) land and Section 47 of the Sarawak Land Code.
Even as a layman, I can see that BN government has been trying very hard and seriously to resolve NCR land issue, mostly concerning rural people, which is a product of the ancient colonial government.
Beginning last year, the Land and Survey Department has begun a massive perimeter survey on NCR land throughout Sarawak. An estimated 1.5 million hectares of NCR land will eventually be surveyed and tens of thousands of titleless people in village and longhouse will be given titles by the government.
Many more land lords will be born by the time the people-benefiting surveying job is wrapped up at a probable cost of to RM100 million.
The opposition is accusing the BN government of forfeiting people’s land. I say the BN government is a Santa Claus giving land to the people.
The opposition makes use of the innocent rural people to set up blockades to disrupt the legitimate business operation of oil palm estates and timber companies, causing millions of ringgit loss to revenue-creating business and driving potential foreign investors away.
PKR and DAP’s crazy and senseless attack on government necessary, proper and legal acquisition, through Section 47 of the Land Code, of privately-owned land ( mostly in the urban area) to put up public buildings and infrastructure for the benefit of all the people, must be rebutted in the strongest term.
I am angry that in a recent case, even after the government has announced the lifting of Section 47 on some Bako land, PKR and DAP continue to incite more troubles.
To me, this is a clear case of irresponsible politicians who are bent on destroying the society at the expense of people’s well being and stability the country.
I am convinced that in the next election, people will use their wisdom to reject the leaderless, broken opposition Pakatan Rakyat and allow the BN to continue its good work of propelling our country to greater prosperity, peace and harmony.
