Eight longhouses receive NCR land notification gazette
KAPIT: Eight longhouses from various localities along Sungai Musah and Sungai Takan in Katibas areas under the Song district received their NCR land Notification Gazette of Section 6 of the Sarawak Land Code for the perimeter survey of the NCR land under the new initiative held at Rumah Puso Anak Ketupong, Sungat Musah on Thursday evening, organised by the Land and Survey Kapit.
Officiating at the function and later presenting the Notification Gazette to the 8 longhouses were state assemblyman for Katibas, Datuk Ambrose Blikau Anak Enturan and BN-PBB candidate for Kapit, Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi.
Among the longhouses were Rumah Jarop at Nanga Sepadi, Rumah lkau at Nanga Musah, Rumah Jala at Nanga Miaw (formerly Rumah Lintang), Rumah Philip at Nanga Semulong, Sungai Musah, Rumah Pillai at Nanga Miaw, Rumah Dampol at Sungai
Musah, Rumah Japok at Nanga Senyaro, Sungai Musah and Rumah Tibong at Nanga Rarong, Katibas. According to Kapit Land and Survey Department superintendent Norlina Ra’ee, the perimeter survey of the NCR land under Section 6 of the Sarawak Land Code is the first step in verifying the status of the NCR land as communal reserve under the new initiative programme.
The second step will be the survey of the individual land title under Section 18 of the Sarawak Land Code for the issuance of the individual land title, provided there is no dispute over the boundaries, she said.
