1). How to apply?

Write to respective Superintendent of Lands and Survey where the land is located. (e.g.  If land is in Kuching, apply to Superintendent Land & Survey, Kuching Division)

2). Other authorities involved in the process?

All application would be referred to the following authorities for comments:-

• Divisional Engineer of Public Work Department;
• City Councils/Local Authorities; and
• Natural Resources and Environment Board (NREB) (in the case of involving areas more than 10 hectares and within 3km of Residential, Commercial & Industrial area)

3). What to Submit?

• Full name of applicant;
• A copy of certificate of registration of company;
• A copy of Memorandum of Articles and Association;
• Form 24 & 49 of Company Act 1965;
• Cadastral plan or map showing the area applied for;
• 3 copies of Topographical Survey and Survey Report which must be produced by the Licensed Private Surveyor only for hilly land.
• A geologycal report which must be produced by Department of Mineral and Geoscience Sarawak only for application to remove ball-clay.
• Photograph showing the area applied.

4). State the following:

• Purpose for which earth is to be extracted (either for sale or specific projects);
• The duration of time required for extraction.

5). Fees to be paid?

• Before issuance of licence the following fee MUST be paid.
• Preparation fee - RM25.00
  
• Royalty paid base on Topographical Survey Plan produced by the Licensed Private Surveyor or Geological Report produced by Department of Mineral and Geoscience, Sarawak.
