Held at the Menara Pelita lobby, the ceremony involved staff from the JTS headquarters and JTS Serian, as well as department retirees.
The spiritual programme was organised to encourage staff to draw closer to the Al-Quran and internalise its values throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
Present to grace the event was JTS Director, Datuk Awang Zamhari Awang Mahmood.
During the event, participants completed the final verses of the Al-Quran together, symbolising a spirit of togetherness and commitment to honouring Ramadan.
The programme continued with a special Ramadan lecture titled ‘Istiqamah Ibadah Selepas Ramadan’ (Consistency in Worship Post-Ramadan).
The talk was delivered by Sarawak Mufti Department Fatwa Division’s Senior Assistant Mufti, Mohamad Syarifuddin Abdul Kadir.
In his lecture, Syarifuddin emphasised the importance of maintaining the spiritual habits and acts of worship practised during Ramadan consistently in daily life.
Beyond religious enrichment, the Ihya’ Ramadan programme serves as a platform to strengthen ties and camaraderie among JTS staff across various divisions and ranks.
Also in attendance were Deputy Director (Management), Rozlan Putit, and other members of the department’s top management.
