Tebedu Assemblyman Dr Simon Sinang Bada said the state government remains committed to ensuring that land survey efforts under Section 6 and Section 18 of the Sarawak Land Code are fully implemented for both traditional villages and individual agricultural lots.
“I urge villages that have not yet started to take the first step by engaging with the Dayak Bidayuh National Association (DBNA) to carry out the initiative. Through this process, the Land and Survey Department (JTS) will face no issues in performing their duties,” he said.
He was speaking during a dialogue on traditional village residential lot surveys and the issuance of land titles under Section 18 of the Land Code at Kampung Jenan’s community hall on Thursday.
Dr Simon added that titled land provides not only security of ownership but also opportunities for economic growth.
