KUCHING: The Land and Survey Department (JTS) clarified that it never appointed any individual, agent, or third party to handle land lot applications.
The announcement was made following a detection by the department on activities involving land lot application services through social media platforms on Jan 8 by certain individuals.
“Applications for residential land lots can only be made online via e-LASIS and not through manual forms.
“Meanwhile, for other types of land applications, JTS provides forms that can be downloaded for free from the department’s website,” the department said in a statement
In this regard, JTS advised the public to contact any nearby JTS office directly if they wish to apply for residential or other types of land lots.
“If there are any activities offering such services, the public is encouraged to contact the nearest Land and Survey Office or email landsurvey@sarawak.gov.my for further inquiries,” the department added.
