SARATOK: A total of 143 individuals have received offer letters for the Hulu Kabong Phase 1 Village Expansion Scheme (SPK).

Kabong assemblyman Mohd Chee Kadir said that Hulu Kabong SPK’s Phase 1 is the first scheme of its kind in the constituency, complete with specifications and basic infrastructure components.

He further explained that the project is more organised, utilising a new approach such as enhancing basic infrastructure through improvements like upgrading the previously gravel roads to paved roads.

“Also improved are the lots that were previously allocated without proper levelling.

“All costs for these walls, paved roads, and concrete drains are fully borne by the Sarawak government,” he said at a ceremony for the handing over of letters held at Dewan Balai Polis Kabong here, recently.

Earlier, he announced that the government had approved the Village Expansion Scheme (SPK) Hulu Kabong Phase 2 under a community project with an allocation of RM23 million.
