Tell people importance of NCR survey, community leaders urge


SRI AMAN: Community leaders are urged to help the government in disseminating the importance of NCR land perimeter survey new initiative to the people in their respective areas.

This is important so that the land could be gazetted under Section 6 of the State Land Code for the benefit of the owners, pointed out State Assemblyman for Engkilili, Dr. Johnnical Rayong Ngipa.

Speaking at a Gawai Dayak festival closing or Ngiling Tikai ceremony organised by the
LANDAS Club of the divisional Land and Survey Department here recently, Rayong added owners would be given legal document guaranteeing their right to the lands and eliminating any claims or disputes.

“It will also be easier for you (land owners) to apply for subsidies or assistances from the government if you want to endeavor on projects such as commercial planting.

“As such, I ask that councilor, Ionghouse chiefs and other community leaders to meet with the people and explain the benefit of having their NCR lands surveyed starting now,” urged Rayong.

Also present were Sri Aman Division Land and Survey Department Superintendent Doris Synia, Special Assistant for Lubok Antu MP Councilor Zainie Aji, Head of RTM Sri Aman Programme Section Francis Linggi, departmental  representatives and staff members of Sri Aman Land and Survey Department.

The ceremony also witnessed the announcement of RM3,000 allocation from Lubok Antu MP Datuk William Nyalau Badak and cultural presentations.
